Aivo strengthens its data science team

We are tickled to announce the appointment of  Dr. Lauri Kovanen as Lead Data Scientist and Dr. Nathan Haines as Data Scientist. 

World-Class Additions to the Team

Combining Science and Software Development

Lauri brings more than a decade of expertise in software development, forecasting and analytics, and data science. Prior to joining Aivo, he served as a Data Science Team Lead at Smartly.io, a fast-growing advertising automation company. Lauri comments: “I am interested in projects that deliver value for all parties through good software, data analytics, machine learning, and statistics. Working at Aivo, I can combine this passion with creating something that is societally meaningful and has the potential to help millions of people.” Lauri holds a Doctor of Science degree from Aalto University School of Science in Finland.

Computational Psychology Galore

Nate brings a decade of academic and research excellence to the Aivo team. Nate has a background in computational psychology with a focus in clinical and mathematical psychology. Dr. Haines comments: “Joining Aivo was an easy decision for me. Not only does it allow me to apply my research skills in a real-world setting but working at Aivo also lets me participate in solving one of the biggest public health challenges of our time, chronic pain.” Nate has a PhD degree from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
