We are proud to announce the appointment of Osma Ahvenlampi as Chief Product Officer. In this role Osma will be responsible for scaling the product team and managing our ambitious product vision.
A welcome addition to a strong team
“Osma’s experience in creating consumer products and scaling product and design for high growth organizations is a huge asset to Aivo,” said Mika Marjalaakso, CEO of Aivo. “We have plans to do big things in 2022 and beyond and I’m thrilled to have such a visionary product leader join us in bringing our cutting-edge solution to the millions of people suffering from chronic low back pain.”
Experience from building massively scalable consumer apps
Osma brings more than 20 years of expertise in managing product strategy and operations in high-growth organizations to his new role at Aivo. Most recently, Osma held the role of Chief Product Officer for Nightingale Health, a health technology company transforming preventive care. Prior to his role at Nightingale, Osma has acted, e.g., as the CTO of Sulake Corporation, creator of Habbo, an early social media and free-to-play games platform for teens with users from over 150 countries.
Excited to help conquer the puzzle of pain
Osma comments: “Chronic pain is estimated to affect a minimum of one in ten people worldwide and has no lasting solutions. Aivo is a unique team with both first hand experience and leading scientific insight to its causes. I am inspired to join their mission to bring relief to these people and conquer chronic pain. We will do so by applying the same scientific rigor Aivo’s research is based on to the development of our products for consumers.”
